James “Joey” Caverly participated in the final devising stage and performed in the premiere of Squares and then he went on to work on the devising of Beertown in D.C. and create and perform the new Beertonian character “Nate Brunner.”
His recent credits include performing in I Was Most Alive With You at Huntington Theatre, andTribes at SpeakEasy Stage Company, Studio Theatre, and Berkeley Repertory Theatre. His D.C. production credits include Tales of Honor and Anchovies and Tales of Courage and Poultry with Faction of Fools Theatre Company; and numerous works at his alma mater, Gallaudet University. He was involved with National Theatre of the Deaf, performing in Journey of Identity, A Child’s Christmas in Wales, and a number of shows for young audiences. His recent directing work includes Cloud 9 (assistant), Dr. Faustus, The Philadelphia, and Noises Off (which gained recognition from The Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival).
James received his BA in theatre arts from Gallaudet University.
