Jon Reynolds is an actor, deviser, and playwright born and raised in the Washington, DC area.
With dog & pony dc, he participated in the development, devising, and performance of TOAST, A Killing Game, Beertown, Separated at Birth, and COURAGE. He also participated in the design conception of Toast, A Killing Game and composed original music for Beertown. Jon held the position of Ringleader Production for three years.
Jon has been part of the Washington, DC theatre community for over 14 years, performing locally with Shakespeare Theatre Company, Folger Theatre, Rorschach Theatre, Theater Alliance, Journeymen Theater, WSC Avant Bard, Adventure Theatre, Solas Nua, Keegan Theatre, The Inkwell, and Open Circle Theatre. He spent two years as Production Manager of Journeymen Theater Ensemble. His play Breadhouse was produced as part of the 2007 Capital Fringe Festival. Jon has taught workshops in Shakespeare, scene study, playwriting and stage combat to elementary school, high school, and college students. From 2001 to 2003 he was a member of National Players, America’s longest running classical touring company, as a performer and Company Manager, bringing Shakespeare to over 20 states.
Jon holds a BA in Communication and Theatre Arts from McDaniel College.
