Wyckham Avery lives in Washington, DC where she creates theatre as part of dog & pony dc.

Wyckham is a co-founder and served as a Ringleader for the company’s first five years.  With dog & pony dc, Wyckham directed and/or devised Separated at Birth, PUNCH!–that’s the way we do it, Cymbeline, COURAGE, Beertown (2011 Helen Hayes Award Nominee for Outstanding New Play or Musical), and Toast.

She worked as the Theatre Director for the New School of Northern Virginia and has been a teaching artist for the Shakespeare Theatre Company for 16 years. Recently, she directed the premiere of Samantha Rai, a new TYA musical by Qui Nguyen and Shane Rettig at Andy’s Summer Playhouse in New Hampshire, and is participating in the tour of Beertown Takes America.

Wyckham received her MFA in acting from the Catholic University of America and trained at the Dell’ Arte International School of Physical Theatre.
